Delivery driver’s note leaves woman in tears after he fails to pick up parcel
“Sorry, we missed you. Your parcel can now be picked up at your local Post Office”
Written on a Hermes/DPS/Royal Mail card, it’s probably one of the most unwelcome phrases to read ahead of Christmas.
Especially in 2020, when most of us are at home all the time.
Of course, spending more time at home means that drivers are working extra hard to manage the extra demand.
We should all reserve a huge amount of patience and sympathy for the people delivering our goods this year.
But sometimes, it’s easy to get frustrated if you know that you were home all day but still received a note insisting that you weren’t.
One woman was left crying with laughter after discovering why her delivery driver couldn’t pick up her parcels.
In fairness to them, the note he left behind gave a very valid reason.
The woman shared the note from the delivery driver on TikTok – where the video been viewed thousands of times.
On the note, the driver explained: “Couldn’t get packages, animals chasing me.”
CCTV from her doorbell shows the driver opening the door and a gaggle of birds immediately running up.
The woman added in the caption: “When you’re mad your packages didn’t get picked up but then you check your doorbell video.”
One viewer commented: “I’m so afraid of chickens! I would run haha.”
The homeowner replied: “They are friendly, just look scary lol.
“They were just hoping for some goodies because I always give them treats lol.”
Another fellow driver commented: “I swear to god turkeys and geese are the worst.
“I’ve been attacked by them more than any other animal.”
Meanwhile, one woman was urged to dump her boyfriend after sharing CCTV of her boyfriend playing with her dog.
The footage left people divided, as thousands of viewers accused the man of acting unreasonably after his comment to the dog was caught on camera.
But others defended him- and pointed out that he was clearly joking.
Following the backlash, the woman uploaded another video to show the close bond between her boyfriend and dog.
She added: “They’re literally BFFs, sorry to disappoint.”
In the video, she commented: “For everyone saying I should leave my bf for calling my dog a d***, I think things are going fine,” alongside a montage of clips featuring the duo.
